Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
ArgoStory (“ArgoStory,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website located at argostory.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the rights you have regarding it.
This policy applies only to the Site as it currently exists — a waitlist signup page. It does not yet cover the ArgoStory mobile or web application, which will have its own privacy policy once launched.
By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
When you join our waitlist, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your response to “Why would you switch to ArgoStory?” (optional open-text field)
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, when you visit the Site we (and our hosting and website-building platform, WordPress/Elementor) may automatically collect certain technical information, including:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Device type
- Pages visited and time spent on the Site
- Referring website or source
This information is generally collected through standard server logs and cookies as part of normal website operation.
Cookies
The Site may use cookies (small data files stored on your device) to support basic site functionality and, where applicable, to remember your preferences. We do not currently use cookies for third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected through the waitlist form to:
- Notify you when ArgoStory launches or when there are meaningful updates
- Send occasional waitlist-related communications (we’ve committed elsewhere to no more than 2–3 updates before launch)
- Understand general interest in ArgoStory and improve our upcoming product based on feedback shared in the “why would you switch” field
- Maintain and secure the Site itself
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your waitlist information for third party advertising purposes.
4. Third-Party Services We Use
We rely on a small number of third-party service providers to operate the Site:

These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy and security practices. We encourage you to review Mailchimp’s Privacy Policy for details on how they handle data.
We do not currently use any payment processing or social login services on the Site.
5. Data Retention
- If you join the waitlist and have not otherwise converted to an active ArgoStory user or provided further consent to be contacted, we will delete your waitlist submission (name, email, and message) within 180 days.
- If you unsubscribe or request deletion before that 180-day period, we will delete your information promptly upon request (see Section 9).
6. Children’s Privacy
The Site is a waitlist signup page and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
If we become aware that a child under 13 has submitted information through the waitlist form without appropriate parental consent, we will delete that information promptly. Parents or guardians who believe their child has submitted information to us can contact us using the information in Section 9 to request review or removal.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
For all users (general)
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate information
- Deletion — request deletion of your information (see Section 5 for our standard retention timeline)
- Withdrawal of consent — unsubscribe from communications at any time via the link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
- Know what personal information is collected and how it is used
- Request deletion of personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share your personal information, so this right is already satisfied by our practices)
- Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
European Economic Area / UK residents (GDPR)
- Access your personal data
- Rectify inaccurate personal data
- Erase your personal data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 9. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
8. Security
We take the security of your information seriously and use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information collected through the Site from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
While we work hard to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We will notify affected users and relevant authorities in the event of a data breach as required by applicable law.

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly as the Site evolves or as ArgoStory’s app launches with its own separate policy. We will post the updated version here with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
